Strike Back on Hiatus For a Week, Newest The Player Promo

After last week's shock in the US/Canada/Asia/South America losing Sgt. Richmond, the guys were out for revenge...on the whole country of North Korea!

The episode left fans at a critical point of the show.  A great cliffhanger.  Will the boys be able to get out of North Korea?  Tune in next time. 

Because of a holiday next weekend, Cinemax/HBO will not be showing the next episode of Strike Back until the following weekend.  But you can catch up on MoreMax or during next weekend, when replays of the first 4 episodes will be broadcasted.  It will be a good time to catch up or go over anything you might have missed the first time.

The Player has a new promo, featuring Philip.

It's been named one of the coolest promos by critics and has more new scenes than previous promos.  Every time a new one is released, more and more new scenes are added.

This Week: Strike Back and In My Sleep

This week was a pivotal episode in Strike Back.  A beloved and vital member of Section 20 was lost in battle.  RIP Sgt. Julia Richmond.

Her passing scene was so moving.  It was a beautiful reminder that not everything in fighting has to come out ugly. 

We were really hoping that one of the guys would have a nice life after the mission.  We have yet to see what else will go on in Section 20 and who will survive in the end.

This episode did make us dislike Li-Na even more.  Michelle Yeoh plays her wonderfully evil.

Next week's episode is going to be full of more adrenaline than before, if that is even possible:

Friday nights are usually Strike Back nights around the Philip fandom, but last Friday, we were also invited to join in live tweeting with Lifetime Movie Network for the showing of In My Sleep.

We spent Friday night tweeting between Strike Back and In My Sleep.  With the director of the film, Allen Wolf @theallenwolf, fans spent the night reading about how the movie was filmed, all the symbolism behind the scenes, and some insight with the actors.  Even Philip tweeted and retweeted a few times.  If you want to check out the conversation, look for #inmysleep tweets or @theallenwolf.

Promoting "The Player" part 2

What do you do when you have one show going on, and you start promoting another one?  That is what the fine men from Strike Back were doing this week.

Both Sully and Philip were in Beverly Hills, promoting their new shows on NBC at a press convention, with other new and returning shows.

With cast members Philip, @WesleyTSnipes, @CharityWakefld, @DamonGupton, plus producers of the show, the panel offered a little more insight to each of the characters and the direction of the show.

Strike Back will be broadcasting the same week as both "The Player" and "Blindspot" (Sully's new show), for about 2 weeks, unless Cinemax/HBO decide to double two of the episodes of Strike Back.

"The Player" premieres on NBC at 10 pm/9 pm Central, after "Blindspot".  Check out NBC.com for "The Player". 

Wonderful news for our hard work in the last 4 plus years of promoting Philip.  His Twitter account is now following our account.  We did not ask for it, but it is an honor to be recognized for the work we have been doing over the past few years.

Strike Back/The Player Going Head to Head

Wow!  Our group has been super busy!  Sorry for the lack of information.  Sometimes it is just easier to retweet, repost, or cut and paste, than it is to write about all the wonderful and awesome things that are happening in Philip's professional life right now.

We were at one point finishing the UK's viewing of Strike Back season 5, starting US/Canada/Asia viewing of season 4/5, and filming the new show, The Player, all in one week!  It was not easy, but we kept up with a good portion of the news.

There are a ton of articles, pictures, videos, and some extra news.

First- we will attempt to blog at least once a week to keep up with everything.

Second-we keep on track on FB and Twitter.  So follow us there to get up to the minute information.

Third-play Strike Back Trivia on Friday nights with us on Twitter.  We play before or around the first showing of Strike Back in the West.

Fourth-probably the most exciting information-Philip now has an official Twitter account and FB account.  We are just as excited as he or his people have been posting pictures from The Player and Strike Back.  His twitter account just passed our Twitter account for number of followers.  We cannot wait to see where this goes when The Player start broadcasting.

Fifth-even though Philip has his own accounts, we will still be here to communicate and connect with fans.  Just because he has his accounts, does not mean it is the end of us.  We have been around for a while, and we enjoy talking about Philip and his work.  As long as he works, we will be talking about him.

Sixth-Happy Birthdays to Rhona Mitra and Milauna Jackson!

Seventh-we will start promoting The Player more heavily in September, when updated promos are released.

Aside from this blog on a weekly basis, we will be working on the forum, where fans can find archives of all stuff we post on social media in one place!  We hope to have this started by the time The Player starts.  No promises, but that is the goal we will be working towards.
